Leuven has been nothing but a pleasure for all of us. The people have been wonderful, food delicious, oh and we made some pretty music too.
First concert was the evening of May 2nd and we were treated with a packed house due to the Arenberg Orkest combining our concert with their final performances of the year. The first half of the evening was our Requiem while the second half saw both groups performing individually practiced pieces. The night kicked off with 2 emcees that gave the audience (and Richard) a run for their money.
We nailed the concert though. Great energy with no major issues from our end. Our individual songs were received well- we heard some great praise for Loch Lomond from many orchestral members and their friends.
The Arenberg Orkest performed their two individual songs; medleys from Jurassic Park and How to Train Your Dragon. We were quick to our feet to praise them for transporting us back to the movie theater.
Photos are being collected to be posted, to stay tuned. Check out a great shot of our two combined groups someone snagged from a balcony!!
Final note: Apologies on the delays in posts- we've had some debilitating internet issues over the past few days. Hopefully the new location gives us better luck!
